The Swim Instructor provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swim classes while maintaining a supportive and safe environment. They are responsible for preparing lesson plans, maintaining accurate records, and fostering positive relationships with participants and families.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and possess YMCA Swim Instructor certification or an equivalent. Additionally, current certifications in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen are required.
