School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Our LPNs enjoy some notable benefits

  • Pay
  • Range: School LPN's pay ranges from $35-$36 an hour (instant pay/next day pay available!)
  • Shift: full time, 745am-415pm Monday through Friday (5 DAYS PER WEEK) starting ASAP- No weekends or holidays
  • One-on-one with a 3rd grade student
  • Finishing school year 2026, and school year 2026-2027
  • Weekly Pay (instant pay/next day pay available!)

As a nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do

  • Elicits a comprehensive health history from the patient and/or parents and caregivers, to reflect physical and emotional health, developmental/social well-being and immunization status.
  • Performs health screens, physical exams, and age-appropriate developmental evaluations.
  • Orders and/or performs pertinent diagnostic tests.
  • Analyzes health history and interprets other data collected to determine health status and care needs.
  • Develops, implements, evaluates, and modifies care plans, as needed, in collaboration with the client, family, school, physician, and community as applicable.
  • Records all pertinent data.
  • Manages acute and emergency health problems in the school context and coordinates services needed for optimal health, safety and learning.
  • Participates in the implementation of a planned health education curriculum in the schools.
  • Completes other assignments as requested and assigned.
  • May have access to personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.

A few must-haves for LPNs

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN license in Michigan
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communicator and compassionate
  • One year pediatric experience with trach and vent
