Graduate Assistant - Assistant Coach - Men's Hockey

Requires an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and acceptance into a graduate studies program at Franklin Pierce University (acceptance must be confirmed before the candidate is considered).

• The Graduate Assistant position is a two year position and includes tuition remission along with a stipend of $8,000 annually.
• Housing is not included, but is available on-campus.
• Acceptance of the position is contingent upon successful admission into the University’s Graduate School.
• Position set to begin 6/1/2026 but can be flexible.
• First Grad Term begins 08/31/2026.

Major responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to

• On and Off campus recruiting of qualified student athletes
• Assist with Fundraising activities
• Assist with practice planning and implementation
• Primary on-ice focus with team’s defensemen and goaltenders, but will work with all positions
• Monitoring of academics and study halls
• Assist with team travel and game day operations, as well as scheduling, organizing, and general office work
• Team Social Media/Video program
• Adherence to all NCAA rules and regulations
• Administrative duties as assigned by the head coach.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree required
• Previous coaching experience and/or successful NCAA or Junior playing experience required
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to attract, recruit, and retain high-level players
