Deliver assigned CNA clinical classes and facilitate student learning through effective instruction and assessment. Maintain accurate student records and develop course materials such as lesson plans and syllabi.
Must be a licensed nurse (LPN or RN) in Indiana with at least one year of licensed experience. Long-term care experience as a CNA or Nurse is preferred.
Summary: Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to the area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction. Conducts all activities with an appreciation, respect, and promotion of diversity of people, styles, and views. A qualified faculty member teaching the clinical portions of CNA Preparation meets both of the following criteria: 1. Is a licensed nurse holding an unencumbered license in the State of Indiana, and 2. Has a minimum of one year of licensed nurse experience as a LPN or RN. Other Requirements: - Transcripts and/or relevant certifications/licenses required at time of hire - Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a satisfactory background check - Long term care experience as a CNA/Nurse preferred.
