The lecturer is responsible for providing face-to-face clinical instruction and supervision for nursing students in Pediatrics and Obstetrics. Duties include modeling professional behavior, evaluating student progress, and collaborating with clinical agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
Candidates must hold an MSN and a valid California RN license, with specific pediatric or OB nursing experience within the last five years. A doctorate in nursing and prior clinical teaching experience are preferred.
The School of Nursing at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an on-going basis for our Pediatrics/OB pool of part-time lecturers. Clinical days, hours, and clinical sites vary within San Diego County and Riverside County.
Applicants will use effective face-to-face instruction and assessment techniques to promote students’ successful achievement of course learning competencies
The clinical course instructor is responsible to prepare for and teach the clinical course with the general supervision of the course coordinator.

$5,836 - $6,240 per full-time month
Lecturer B - AY: $6,221 – $13,224 per full-time month
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
