About the Role

The Assistant Teacher plays a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students. This position involves collaborating with lead teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and well-being. This position will work with 1.5 – 2.5-year-old children at our brand-new, purpose-built facility in Cape Elizabeth, located at 8 Two Lights Road (on the campus of St. Bartholomew’s Church). The space includes: Over 2,500 sq. ft. of indoor gross motor play space Classrooms and outdoor playgrounds tailored to each age group A bright, modern environment that reflects our commitment to child-centered learning Why St. Elizabeth’s? Key Responsibilities: Assist lead teachers in preparing and implementing lesson plans and educational activities. Support classroom management by helping to maintain a positive and organized learning environment. Provide individualized attention to students, addressing their unique learning needs and challenges. Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to lead teachers as necessary. Engage with students in various activities, fostering their social and emotional development.
