The Toddler Teacher creates a safe and engaging learning environment for children aged 12-36 months to support their cognitive and social development. Responsibilities include implementing age-appropriate activities, maintaining classroom safety, and communicating daily with families.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, while a CDA or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Candidates must be able to meet state licensing requirements and possess or obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.

Position Title: Toddler Teacher Reports To: Director/Assistant Director Employment Type: Full-Time
The Toddler Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 12–36 months. The teacher will support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through developmentally appropriate activities, positive guidance, and meaningful interactions. The Toddler Teacher will work closely with families and fellow staff members to provide high-quality care and education.
High School Diploma or GED required. CDA, Associate's Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred. Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting preferred. Ability to meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks and required training. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Ability to remain patient, calm, and positive in a busy classroom environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and actively participate in children's activities. Ability to supervise children indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
