Job description

Overview Speech Language Pathologist – Long Term Care specialty, in a school-setting in Federal Way, Washington. Start date: 09/02/2026. Contract duration: 41 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,356 to $2,478 per week.

Shift

5x8 days (08:00–16:00). This is a travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC, serving students across elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Responsibilities

Provide direct Speech-Language Pathology services to students in a school setting, including evaluation, treatment planning, and therapy sessions
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments, screen as needed, and contribute to IEP development and goal setting
Implement evidence-based therapy techniques for articulation, language, voice, and fluency as appropriate; document progress using district data systems
Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and other allied health staff; participate in IEP meetings and progress reporting
Maintain accurate, confidential student records and ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations
Communicate with families regarding evaluation results, progress, and recommendations

Requirements

Active Washington State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Ability to work in a school setting and adapt to classroom schedules; capable of navigating a multi-classroom environment
Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
Ability to pass background checks and comply with district credentialing requirements
Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
