  • Here’s what you’ll need to join our team: Education: A bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a closely related field is required.
  • A master’s degree in Education for Students with Hearing Impairments or a similar area is preferred but not required.

Certification

  • A valid Texas Educator Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) is required. Additional certifications in related areas, such as Auditory-Verbal Therapy, are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Specialized
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with special education laws, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and understanding of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process are essential.
