Instructional Assistant, Kindergarten (NE)(2026-2027)-Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, Ellicott City MD

Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Ellicott City, Maryland, is seeking a compassionate and qualified full‑time Kindergarten Instructional Assistant for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The Kindergarten Instructional Assistant supports the classroom teacher in creating a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Responsibilities include preparing classroom materials, assisting with instructional activities, supporting small‑group and one‑on‑one learning, and helping maintain a safe and nurturing classroom atmosphere. The role may also involve tasks such as monitoring students, organizing supplies, and assisting with grading or record‑keeping.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, communicates effectively, and is committed to supporting early learners in their academic and social development.

• Essential Functions
• Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Prepare and organize age-appropriate materials and resources for students.
• Assist students with technology or other audio equipment.
• Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
• Ensures that arrival and dismissal procedures are conducted in a safe and orderly manner.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff, and administration.
• Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees, and in-service learning opportunities as directed by administration.
• Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with school community.

• Position Qualifications
• Minimum High School diploma and 90-hour childcare certification.
• Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.
• Must have a commitment to Catholic School education.
• Practicing Catholic preferred.

Pay Range: $30,000 – 33,500, Annualized
