What we want The Registered Nurse III, under general supervision, provides comprehensive nursing services such as patient care, evaluations, and treatment to students, faculty, staff, and community members and families participating in the Nursing Mobile Clinic program. Operates and maintains the Mobile Clinic, which includes inventory and requisition of medical supplies, medications, and equipment. What you need to know Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience. Two Locations: Bryan, TX or Crockett, TX. Hours are varied depending on the need and employee availability. This is a temporary, part-time role.
This position is grant funded. Depending upon the nature of your position, you may be required to receive immunizations (excluding COVID and Flu). Qualifications Required Education and Experience Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience Four years of clinical nursing experience Required Licenses and Certifications Texas RN license in good standing Current BLS certification State of Texas class 'C' vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
Bachelor’s degree in nursing Bilingual in English/Spanish Experience with electronic health records (eCW preferred) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of standard nursing procedures and techniques. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Ability to use and manage an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. Ability to work a flexible schedule Responsibilities Comprehensive Nursing Services Provides direct patient care, patient evaluations, and treatment in accordance with Professional Nursing Standards Maintains the highest standards of nursing practice Participates in reflective practice Provides comprehensive nursing services to patients participating in the Mobile Clinic in accordance with professional nursing standards Provides preventative education to patients as needed Uses the health care team approach to provide triage of patients, physical assessments, and treatments, including the administration of medication and therapy as directed Drives to schools and homes of patients participating in the clinic in order to provide vital services in a University vehicle Operates and maintains the clinic, which includes maintaining inventory and requisition of medical supplies, medications, and equipment Maintains sterilization of instruments/supplies Maintains and monitors patient records, assesses health care needs, and provides patient education. Reporting and Monitoring Evaluates and reports patient progress Visits, monitors, tracks, and reports patient data Program and Individual Development Serves as a key member of the school-based Mobile Clinic team Participates in community coalition Engages in program team meetings Promotes the Texas A&M program via marketing and outreach efforts at local and regional levels Completes required trainings and participates in professional development Fills in for others and performs other duties as assigned to assist other team members.
