Men's Club Rugby Head Coach (part-time/temporary)

• This position will oversee all aspects of Men’s Club Rugby Team’s on field responsibilities.
• The coach will work with team captains to facilitate practice plans and teach drills.
• They will teach strategy, attend every practice, or competition, and the coach will help manage team dynamics.
• The coach will also work with the club’s executive board, who oversee all of the team’s administrative responsibilities including scheduling and fundraising efforts.
• This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Club Sports and indirectly to all Campus Recreation professional staff members and the team’s officers.
• The Men’s Club Rugby team falls under Campus Recreation and is not associated with Athletics.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide skill development for college students and cater to a variety of skill levels
• To organize safe and appropriate sport sessions
• To supervise/mentor/guide the participating members of each club
• Attend all team practices and games
• Duty to act in an emergency by performing emergency evacuations; provide First-Aid, CPR, AED based on current certification
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience in coaching or participating in specific sport
• Flexible, availability and high level of responsibility
• High school diploma or GED/equivalent
• First-Aid, CPR, AED, & Blood Borne Pathogen certifications- must receive within 90 days of starting.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-unit, non-benefited position. Anticipate 6-8 hours/week
