The Counselor provides support to students with disabilities by reviewing documentation and determining reasonable accommodations in compliance with ADA and Section 504. They collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure accessibility and support student retention and academic progress.
A Master's degree in special education, counseling, psychology, or a related field is required, along with two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. Candidates must possess working knowledge of ADA and Section 504 guidelines.

In alignment with the College’s mission and values, the Counselor provides services and support to students with disabilities under the direction of the CAADS Director. This position reviews disability documentation, engages in the interactive process to determine reasonable accommodations, and coordinates services to ensure access to College programs and activities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The Counselor collaborates with students, faculty, and staff to support student engagement, retention, and academic progress in a professional and welcoming environment.
