Our team of compassionate, collaborative professionals brings patience, perseverance, and trust to every interaction, inspired daily by the peaceful surroundings our campus provides.

We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our Mars school-based team. In this role, you'll work alongside teachers and therapists across our expansive campus to provide direct support to students with special needs, helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally — with the added benefit of a natural, serene environment that supports student well-being.

Why Paraprofessionals Choose Hope – Mars

  • Starting
  • Pay: $18/hour
  • Meaningful Work – Make a daily impact in the lives of students and families
  • One-of-a-Kind Campus – Work on a beautiful 30-acre wooded property that provides a calming, enriching backdrop for student learning and growth
  • Collaboration – Be part of an interdisciplinary team of teachers and therapists
  • Growth Opportunities – Gain hands-on experience in special education and therapy settings
  • Supportive Environment – Join a workplace that values teamwork, respect, and professional growth
  • Comprehensive Benefits – Health, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401k plan

What You'll Do

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support with classwork, tests, and activities
  • Reinforce learning concepts under teacher or therapist supervision
  • Support students in following IEP and behavior plans, including ABA strategies
  • Supervise students across our campus, including classrooms, outdoor spaces, nature trails, and on field trips
  • Assist students with personal needs such as mobility, toileting, and self-care
  • Foster a safe and respectful learning environment while maintaining professional relationships with staff and students
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and outdoor learning spaces
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the director to support student success

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Associate's Degree (required)
  • Experience: Prior work with children or individuals with special needs (preferred but not required)
  • Skills: Patience, compassion, adaptability, and strong communication skills — a love of the outdoors is a plus!

  • Act 34 State Criminal History Clearance
  • Act 114 FBI Clearance (DOE)
  • Act 168 Clearance
  • Mandated Reporter Training
