  • Academies of Math and Science Kindergarten Teacher – 2026–2027 School Year Location:434 W Lerdo Rd, Tucson, AZ 85706 Compensation $44,770. -$50,550.80 Position Overview Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.
  • AMS is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at the MASSA Campus for the 2026–2027 school year.
  • The Kindergarten Teacher plays a critical role in helping scholars build strong foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
  • The ideal candidate will create a structured and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning while ensuring students develop the academic skills needed for long-term success.
  • AMS teachers are collaborative professionals who believe that all scholars can achieve at high levels through structured instruction, strong classroom culture, and data-informed teaching practices.
  • Key Responsibilities Instruction & Student Achievement Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned with AMS curriculum and Arizona academic standards.
  • Build strong foundational skills in early literacy, phonics, writing, and mathematics.
  • Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instructional planning and student interventions.
  • Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.
  • Implement engaging instructional strategies that promote student participation, exploration, and early critical thinking skills.
  • Classroom Culture & Student Development Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.
  • Implement PBIS and proactive classroom management strategies.
  • Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
  • Foster a classroom culture that promotes kindness, responsibility, and a love of learning.
  • Collaboration & Professional Growth Participate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities (PLCs).
