Academic Instructor

The academic instructor provides instruction in basic education subjects like math, science, social studies, reading, writing, and language arts to help inmates/Students develop into responsible citizens. This role involves maintaining a positive learning environment, adopting secure classroom management, and developing level-Appropriate lesson plans.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required, along with certification by the georgia professional standards commission in relevant education fields or eligibility for provisional teaching certification. Three years of classroom instruction experience and proficiency in microsoft office applications are preferred, and a valid driver's license is mandatory.
