Core responsibilities

The direct support professional will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community setting, assisting with daily activities such as chores, meal preparation, recreation, learning, and physical fitness. The dsp will also represent the needs and interests of individuals served and contribute input to program planning and implementation.

Requirements summary

A high school diploma or ged is required, along with a valid us driver’s license, auto insurance, and at least three years of driving experience. Prior professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is strongly preferred, as are basic computer skills.
