Direct Support Professional

The direct support professional assists individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support, while implementing individualized support plans to promote independence. Responsibilities also include monitoring client progress, facilitating community involvement, and ensuring a safe and respectful environment.

Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to pass background checks and health screenings, and a basic understanding of developmental disabilities. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the physical ability to assist with mobility and stand for extended periods.
