Child Life Specialist 3

The specialist provides evidence-Based, developmentally appropriate child life interventions, including therapeutic play and education, to reduce fear, anxiety, and pain for children undergoing healthcare experiences. This role also involves serving as a preceptor for new team members, advocating for patient needs, and developing educational opportunities within the department.

A bachelor's degree in an area related to child growth and development plus three years of relevant experience, including some supervisory experience, is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must possess strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, and must obtain ccls and child life professional certification upon hire.
