Core responsibilities
Career counselors follow the competitive integrated employment services model to support individuals with disabilities in stabilizing employment and achieving successful outcomes based on their career plan interests and needs. Key duties include collaborating with external agencies to determine goals and assisting individuals with vocational readiness tasks like application and interview preparation.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a high school diploma, ged, or equivalent, along with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, including behavioral health challenges, is required, along with the willingness to become a certified employment specialist upon hire.
