Head Start Teacher

This position facilitates learning for 3–5-Year-Old children using an approved developmentally appropriate curriculum to promote their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Responsibilities include developing and implementing lesson plans, ensuring active supervision, providing primary care routines, conducting home visits, and maintaining accurate daily record keeping.

Candidates must possess either an associate’s degree in early childhood education with three years of preschool teaching experience or a bachelor’s/Master’s degree with at least 30 ece credits and one year of experience, with head start experience preferred. Additional requirements include passing background checks, demonstrating compassion for low-Income populations, and obtaining certifications like cpr/First aid within 90 days.
