Swim Instructor I

The swim instructor will provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes while conducting quality aquatic programs that promote the ymca’s core values. Essential functions include instructing lessons according to guidelines, ensuring hygiene practices, building relationships with students and parents, and maintaining required records.

Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years old and possess current cpr for the professional rescuer, aed, basic first aid, and emergency oxygen certifications. Candidates must demonstrate swim instructor skills according to ymca standards, with preferred certifications including ymca swim instructor or american red cross wsi.
