Responsibilities also include monitoring and administering medications, documenting adverse effects, maintaining medication sheets, managing the controlled drug book, participating in staffing, advising social services, and transporting clients to medical appointments as required.

Requirements summary

Candidates must possess a registered nurse diploma or degree and maintain current, appropriate registered nurse licensure in the employing state. Two years of experience in school, correctional, doctor’s office, camp, industrial, or public health settings is preferred, along with working knowledge of child/Adolescent illnesses and current cpr certification.
