Registered School Nurse

The registered nurse provides professional health services including sick call, medical assessments, dental needs, daily triage of injuries and illnesses, record review, health screening, and health education for clients. Responsibilities also include monitoring and administering medications, documenting adverse effects, maintaining medication sheets, managing the controlled drug book, participating in staffing, advising social services, and transporting clients to medical appointments as required.

Candidates must possess a registered nurse diploma or degree and maintain current, appropriate registered nurse licensure in the employing state. Two years of experience in school, correctional, doctor’s office, camp, industrial, or public health settings is preferred, along with working knowledge of child/Adolescent illnesses and current cpr certification.
