Substitute Teacher

The substitute instructor acts as an instructor in a standard classroom, delivering instruction in the designated subject area while fostering a positive atmosphere to maximize student motivation. This role also requires maintaining high classroom discipline to ensure maximum learning, managing student personnel folders, and forwarding daily attendance records.

Candidates must generally be certified to teach in the state of virginia, although this requirement may be waived under certain conditions if the candidate agrees to pursue certification. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable record is preferred, and employment is contingent upon passing a drug screen and a nationwide criminal background check.
