Lifeguard

The lifeguard is responsible for maintaining constant surveillance of water and pool deck areas, assisting distressed swimmers, and providing emergency medical assistance as trained on the ymca premise. They must also support swim lesson instructors, record chemical readings, operate pool equipment, and enforce aquatic rules while providing exceptional customer service.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and possess a basic-Level lifeguarding certification from an approved organization, with the ability to transition to red cross certification within 90 days. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and those over 18 must obtain a criminal record clearance.
