They provide individual and small group counseling, responsive services during crises, and act as a consultant to staff and parents while utilizing data to evaluate program effectiveness.
Requirements summary
A master’s degree in school counseling and eligibility for maryland state department of education licensure are required, along with a minimum of a 600-Hour practicum or prior experience teaching or counseling in a school setting. Candidates must also demonstrate strong communication skills, exemplary human relations, organizational abilities, and knowledge of appropriate counseling techniques.
