The substitute teacher is responsible for the direct supervision and instruction of students, following the established curriculum provided by the principal or the regular teacher. Duties include delivering lessons, assigning and grading coursework, and overseeing student attendance and classroom management.

Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in social studies, business, or world history, along with strong classroom management skills and effective communication abilities. Current msde certification is preferred, and experience teaching secondary students is beneficial.
