The teacher will instruct deaf and hard of hearing students under the supervision of the principal, providing specially designed instruction across academic and/Or vocational subjects. Primary duties include developing and implementing ieps, preparing materials, evaluating student performance using evidence-Based assessments, and directing support staff.

Requirements summary

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in education of the deaf or special education, along with appropriate state of ct teacher certification (057 and/Or 065 preferred). Required abilities include proficiency in planning effective lessons, differentiating instruction, managing student behavior, and the ability or willingness to learn effective communication using american sign language (Asl).
