Reading Specialist-Wardlaw Program

The reading specialist designs and implements a curriculum using research-Based methodologies in collaboration with a classroom teacher, focusing on an oral-To-Written-To-Oral language approach to address dyslexia. Teachers differentiate instruction to meet student needs within a small class size setting.

Candidates must possess a master’s degree or commensurate experience in learning disabilities, reading, speech-Language pathology, or special education. Required qualifications include training and practicum experience in at least one multi-Sensory reading method, curriculum planning ability, and experience with elementary-Aged students.
