Core responsibilities
The academic advisor ii will perform full-Service professional academic advising duties, including facilitating academic program development, advising students, and interpreting university policies and procedures. This role also involves providing administrative support for petitions and permissions, supporting advisement events, and tracking student retention and progression.
Requirements summary
A bachelor's degree is required, along with either six months of experience as an academic advisor i at gsu or three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include strong organizational and communication skills and experience with student information systems like banner and navigate.
