Teacher, Special Education (BayPointe)

The special education teacher instructs students individually based on identified needs, develops and implements individualized educational plans (Ieps), and maintains all required special education records and reports. Responsibilities also include collaborating with treatment teams, general education staff, and parents while ensuring compliance with state educational guidelines.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in special education and hold alabama teacher certification in special education for grades k-6 or 6-12. The role requires ongoing assessment of student needs, administering testing, and providing specialized instruction to support curriculum acquisition.
