Early Head Start Teacher

The early head start teacher is responsible for providing responsive care and effective teaching to children aged 0-36 months, promoting their health, development, and skill growth aligned with the head start early learning outcomes framework. This includes establishing daily routines, implementing curriculum like creative curriculum, maintaining accurate documentation, and fostering nurturing interactions.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a child development associate (Cda) credential or comparable credential, along with training or coursework focused on infant and toddler development. Additional requirements include completing 45 hours of dcf training, effective oral and written communication skills, intermediate computer proficiency, and the physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
