Lifeguard II - Outdoor

The outdoor lifeguard ii primarily assists the aquatic director in supervising the outdoor pool area, which includes coordinating lifeguard placement and rotations, and potentially opening or closing the pool. This role also involves acting as a first-Level contact for incidents and providing customer service to members and participants.

Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old with at least two years of lifeguarding experience, holding current ymca lifeguard, cpr, aed, and first aid certifications, with a ymca lifeguard instructor certification being preferred. Essential requirements include the physical ability to perform all lifeguard skills and demonstrated ability to recognize and respond to unsafe situations and swimmers in distress.
