Senior Camp Counselor

The senior camp counselor provides direct supervision to a group of children at camp sunburst, focusing on keeping them engaged in activities, fostering positive relationships, and promoting youth development progress. Essential duties include assisting co-Counselors, maintaining group control, upholding safety standards, and instilling the ymca's four core values in all interactions.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school education or equivalent, with previous experience working with children, preferably in a day camp setting or as a counselor-In-Training (Cit). Required certifications include cpr, first aid, aed, and child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire.
