Core responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to execute a safe and fun summer experience for the assigned group of children, working collaboratively with other counselors to lead activities and encourage personal development goals. This includes ensuring daily safety, participating in camp traditions, and assisting with daily swim lessons.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help individuals with special needs. Required certifications include cpr, first aid, aed, and child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire, preferably with previous day camp experience.
