Assistant Teacher - 10-Month

The assistant teacher is primarily responsible for supervising and caring for children in compliance with new york state regulations and naeyc guidelines, while also supporting staff in implementing the early childhood curriculum and program. Specific duties include interacting positively with children, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment, assisting with personal care needs, and observing/Recording child development.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, and have one year of experience working with young children. Preference is given to those with a child development associate (Cda) or 12 early childhood education credits, which must be obtained within one year if not already held.
