Core responsibilities
The behavior technician is responsible for the direct delivery of behavioral services to children and families, implementing treatment plans based on functional assessments under the supervision of a bcba. This role involves accurate record keeping, data collection for progress tracking, and supporting families in implementing behavior intervention strategies.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and must obtain registered behavior technician (Rbt) certification within six months if not already certified. Minimum education is a high school diploma plus six months of relevant experience, or an associate's degree with three months of experience, or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
