Core responsibilities
The instructional assistant supports the academic teacher by implementing instructional and therapeutic activities, assisting with lesson planning, material preparation, and assessing client progress toward established goals. They are responsible for providing supervision, safety, crisis management, and accurate documentation of client behavior and participation in programming.
Requirements summary
Candidates must meet minimum age requirements (19 years old) and possess either a bachelor's degree in human services, an associate's degree with three months of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/Ged with six months of relevant experience working with children. A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and moderate computer skills are also mandatory, along with passing background and drug screenings.
