Core responsibilities
The mental health technician provides direct care, implements treatment plans, ensures client safety, and documents behavior and participation in programming for children and adolescents. Responsibilities also include serving as a positive role model, utilizing proactive behavioral strategies, and managing health and wellness activities.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a high school diploma with six months of direct care experience with children/Adolescents, or an associate's degree with three months of experience, or a bachelor's degree in a human service field. A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, moderate computer skills, and being 19 years of age or older are also mandatory requirements.
