Before and Afterschool Teachers Aide - Strandwood Y-Kids

Assistant teachers support daily site operations by providing high-Quality, responsive care to children and families, assisting in planning and implementing curriculum, and ensuring program goals are met through promoting individual growth and exploration. Essential duties include caring for children's health and well-Being, administering first aid when necessary, providing consistent discipline, maintaining communication with stakeholders, and ensuring licensing standards are met.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age, with a requirement to enroll in early childhood education units upon hire until 12 units are completed. Preferred qualifications include one year of relevant classroom experience, and all hires must pass health screenings, obtain pediatric first aid and cpr certifications, and complete a livescan fingerprint clearance.
