DSP - Behavior Support Professional - Sheila House (Sign-on Bonus!)

The behavior support professional ensures support is provided to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with significant behavioral barriers in a specialized residential facility, implementing skill-Based training based on aba and pbs principles. This role also involves maintaining a healthy, safe, and clean home environment while respecting resident dignity and advocating for their needs.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old, with an associate’s degree or higher desired, though experience may substitute for education, and experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in a residential setting is preferred. Required qualifications include adherence to safety protocols, maintaining certifications like nonviolent crisis intervention, possessing a valid california driver's license, and the physical ability to manage physical behaviors.
