Core responsibilities
The primary function is to orient and educate all nursing personnel to ensure safe and effective nursing care according to federal, state, and facility guidelines. This includes developing education programs based on staff needs, supervising new employees during orientation, and performing annual competency testing.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing holding a current rn license, with preferred experience including three years of clinical experience and two years in long-Term care nursing, one year of which should be as an educator. Excellence in clinical nursing skills is required, and experience in gerontology and adult learning is preferred.
