Core responsibilities
School based occupational therapists implement treatment plans focusing on functional and measurable outcomes for students aged 3-21 with various challenges, consulting with the student's treatment team to ensure cohesive care. They are responsible for assessing and documenting student progress, writing annual review reports, and attending all mandated school-Related meetings.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in an accredited occupational therapy curriculum and hold initial registration from the nbcot, along with a valid state occupational therapy license and current cpr certification. Clinical experience with pediatrics is preferred, alongside effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
