Direct Support Professional

The role involves providing one-To-One direct support services to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities to foster independence, dignity, and choice. Duties include acting as a mentor, supporting individuals with various challenges in their home and community, and implementing their individual support plan.

Candidates must help individuals achieve their highest possible level of independence by encouraging self-Sufficiency rather than acting as mere caregivers. A high school diploma or ged is preferred, and experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
