Core responsibilities
The family support specialist partners with a clinician to deliver intensive, home-Based intervention by connecting families to community services, enhancing caregiver executive functioning skills, and engaging in interactive play with young children. This role focuses on stabilizing the family system, reducing toxic stress, and promoting optimal child development through resource connection and support.
Requirements summary
A bachelor's degree in a related field such as child development or psychology is required, along with experience working with culturally diverse families and young children under six, preferably in home or community-Based settings. A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance are mandatory.
