Paraeducator - STRIVE - Roye-Williams Elementary School

The paraeducator assists school staff with instructional programs, activities, and the personal needs of special education students within the strive program. This includes implementing lesson plans, assisting with assessments, supporting iep/Ifsp implementation, and monitoring student behavior.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged plus either an associate's degree or higher, 48 college credits with a 'c' or higher, or a passing score on the parapro assessment. Required attributes include strong interpersonal skills and the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting up to 40 pounds and proper restraint techniques.
