ESL Summer Bilingual Cultural Mentor

This position serves as a liaison between district staff and students or parents whose primary language is not english during summer school. The mentor will provide academic assistance to students in the esl program and interpret communications between students, parents, and teachers.

Minimum qualifications include an associate’s degree or two years of college (48 semester hours) or a passing parapro assessment score, or equivalent experience. Relevant experience includes one year or more in translating and/Or mentoring, preferably working with students in a bilingual instructional setting.
