Fall 2026 Nurse Extern II Program

This paid externship program offers qualified nursing students additional clinical practice experience under a trained preceptor to enhance preparation for future licensure. Participants are expected to maintain continuity of unit and preceptor throughout their time at the facility.

Candidates must be actively enrolled in a board-Approved pre-Licensure nursing program and have successfully completed clinical coursework to achieve senior-Level standing. Eligible students are second-Semester seniors electing to complete their required practicum hours at baptist health lexington.
