Diabetes Educator

The role is responsible for guiding education for patients of all ages with diabetes and their family members on an outpatient basis. This involves functioning as a diabetes educator cross-Trained in the instruction of all aspects of diabetes care.

Required qualifications include current rn licensure in florida or rd licensure in florida, along with being a certified diabetes educator (Cde) or cde eligible, or obtaining 15 hours of continuing education in diabetes-Related topics annually. A minimum of one year of teaching or clinical experience is also mandatory.
