Child Care Assistant Teacher II

The assistant teacher provides care for children in assigned groups, focusing on individual needs within the framework of social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. This includes assisting in creating an environment and providing experiences that foster growth and help children build confidence through successful interactions.

Required qualifications include completing 40 clock-Hours of dcf child care training plus 5 clock-Hours in early literacy and language development, along with 18 months of classroom experience working with children. A current level 2 ahca background clearance is mandatory, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
